FOCUS – Follow One Course Until Successful

If you’re like most solopronuers and the small business owners, you are overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do and the time to do it. You are a hard working women who often finds herself on the proverbial hamster wheel running at full pace and getting no where. Tired and frustrated.

I know you’ve got a lot on your plate, but I’m here to tell you that if you focus your attention on one course of action until its complete you will accomplish more in less time.

Sounds crazy, we’ll maybe, but it works and here’s how;

  • In the Wise Chick Learning Center take our short course on SWOT Analysis to uncover your businesses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and your talents.
  • Use the results of your analysis to determine what area of your business really needs your FOCUS.
  • Decide what tasks you will need to complete to turn your weakness around. Take the time to think about this in detail. What resources do you need, calls to make, how will you reorganize, etc., Think about your end game and begin to work backwards.
  • Download the Focus on the Goal Worksheet and write down each task in a time sequence with a due date to create SMART Goals
  • Tell your accountability partner about your new FOCUS and what you intend to achieve
  • Go to your phone and set a timer to remind you when its time to FOCUS – set aside 45 minutes each day Monday to Friday to work on your project. That’s almost 4 hours each week to FOCUS and achieve great results!

Here’s the challenge – for the next 90 days work strategically through each weakness/business challenge. It will take discipline on your part. It won’t be easy, but it is more certainly doable. And just imagine how successful you will be this summer.
